Childhood Dream

All the blessings of fellowship
Humanity, sharing, crazy love, friendship
Rise up from the dusty haze of reminiscing
Rise up together to form an all hallowed dimension
Common ground of the sacred heart
Where distance and goodbye matter little
Family of man, friends and lovers, beautiful strangers
Breaking bread, emotions like wine flowing, making amends
Hands upon hearts, flesh upon flesh
One inclination, one memory, goodwill
The purest thought, like a childhood dream
Sentiment like blood spilling
Into the dirt of a fine rare garden
Where, despite our blunder, dark sham and mockery
Despite all the skullduggery
All of the wonders and kindnesses we’ve known
Continue to grow and thrive
