The Golden Dusk Hour

In the golden dusk hour
silence settles over everything
like an uneasy shroud
Unearthly silence, and a haunting stillness
like the pause between heartbeats
Mother Nature holding her breath

The muted ground moans
echoing throughout the galaxy
Bones rattling in the void
as seasons disintegrate into the stars
and eternal summer, that summer of your heart

Hold on to those feelings
Recall your innocence
Hold on to your bliss
in the golden dusk hour

This is so well written, I love it, especially this: “Unearthly silence, and a haunting stillness
    like the pause between heartbeats
    Mother Nature holding her breath”

  3. Another astounding piece Unsung.. Loved this “The muted ground moans echoing throughout the galaxy”.. It seems some days I hear them all……….. But learning to shut them out.. 🙂 Big Hugs to you .. Sue xox
