Mysterious Ships

From 12 Poems At The End Of Another 1000 Years, one of my nine poetry chapbooks self-published between the years 1999-2004:

Ships with ancient quarters
that burrow deep in the sea
Ships made of wood from forests unknown
carved by hands which will no longer be
But hands sometimes reach through shadows of time
from a place which evades all reason and rhyme
to create a world from all that has been
And mysterious ships set sail once again

On a plain reading, i could see ships.
When i read it a second time, i saw the metaphorical meaning.
    Very, very beautifully written!
