The Lavender Sea

From Migration of Souls, one of my nine poetry chapbooks:

One by one they found each other
in old village gardens and secret rooms
On silent planes, by the glow of many moons
From sanctified corners of a darkened world they ran
over railways and byways through a prophetic land
which cradled their hearts
and their dreams in its hands
They traveled countless lives
and through death’s door
they journeyed through the stars
to become what is no more
They ran without stopping
They crawled and they flew
Swam the lavender sea
to get to the truth
and to find one another
to find that perfect heartbeat
where eyes recognize
where souls cross in the street
and cosmic history continues to unravel
unfinished letters tell of so many travels
written in the blood of souls
who will never be the same
They may always remember
They may never meet again
The drama is inconsequential
it matters not who lost or who won
What had to be, had to be done
It’s all in a day’s work
all in a soul’s migration
that we were found, one by one
And now that we have surrendered to departure
all that is left for us lies in
the great, patient halls of Lemuria
where faces and hearts could never be mistaken
where true intentions cannot be denied
where it matters not who lived or who died
We will meet again
beneath the lavender sea
There’s not a doubt in my mind
that you’ll know it was me

  1. You understand that our lives are lived beyond these times, Lemuria a mystery of age a time we once upon lived, The time now returning over, as we face the lies, and seek the Truth… Our souls are indeed migrating to those Lavender seas not of this realm, but to those in which our departed friends now swim..
