Another Windy Day

The wind sweeps and blows and howls
shakes, vibrates, rattles the walls
Brings life to the lifeless
Breathes vitality into the dead
Rain sweetened gusts of shrouded ether
sounds the chimes, decorates the day
with little shining stars of lavender and grey
Hopes rise, life, cleansing, renewal
When the wind stirs, spirits are speaking
Windchimes ring:  angels returning their call

  1. I really enjoyed reading this poem. I found it so peaceful! I love when the wind blows. The winds chimes sing and brings back such found memories.

A poem that consumes you will senses. the wind is seemingly everywhere.
Also the way you pace and punctuate your lines are good at symbolizing the to and fro havoc the wind plays on an object. ‘Like leaf blown from side to side, torn from the limb of a tree, where it would hide.’

Yes, very nice. I like the metaphor of the spirit bring life between the walls. Well done!
